Terms of Service (Online Donations – Florida)

These Terms govern online donations made to Habitat for Humanity of Broward, Inc. (“Habitat Broward”), a Florida not-for-profit corporation and tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
By submitting a donation through this website, you agree that:
- You are authorized to use the payment method provided
- The information you provide is accurate and complete
- Your donation is made voluntarily and without the expectation of goods or services in return, unless otherwise disclosed
Habitat Broward reserves the right to refuse or return any donation that appears to be fraudulent, made in error, or inconsistent with our mission or legal obligations.
Donations are processed through secure third-party payment processors that comply with industry security standards. Habitat Broward does not store complete credit card numbers.

Florida Online Donation Refund Policy

Habitat for Humanity of Broward, Inc. (“Habitat Broward”) complies with Florida charitable standards regarding transparency and donor intent.
Online donations are generally non-refundable because funds are used immediately to support housing and home repair programs.
Refunds may be granted at Habitat Broward’s discretion for:
- Duplicate charges
- Incorrect donation amounts
- Obvious transaction errors
Refund requests must be made within 7 calendar days of the transaction.
To request a refund, donors must provide:
- Name used on the transaction
- Approximate donation date and amount
- Reason for the request
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method where possible.

We will only send you text messages if you have provided your explicit written or electronic consent through our SMS Consent Form or another approved consent process. Consent to receive text messages is entirely voluntary and is never a condition of receiving housing assistance, program services, or any other benefit from our organization.
Types of Messages:
If you have consented, you may receive text messages related to:
- Homebuyer education class reminders and updates
- Mortgage application status and document requests
- Home closing reminders and instructions
- Volunteer scheduling and build day reminders
- Donation acknowledgments and campaign updates
- General organizational announcements
Message Frequency:
Message frequency will vary based on your level of program activity or involvement with Habitat for Humanity of Broward.
Message and Data Rates:
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Habitat for Humanity of Broward is not responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier.
Opting Out:
You may opt out of receiving text messages from Habitat for Humanity of Broward at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and will not receive further texts unless you re-consent. You may also opt out by contacting our office directly at 954-396-3030.
