Volunteers are the heart of Habitat Broward. Whether as an individual, corporate team, community, faith-based group or just a group of friends, there are many ways to volunteer. We welcome volunteers of all skill levels to contribute their time and talents, supporting local families as they gain the strength, stability, and independence they need to build their futures.

Habitat homes are built primarily by volunteers. No construction experience is necessary as skilled construction staff and skilled volunteer leaders will provide training and supervision. All tools, safety equipment, and building materials needed for the day will be provided.
The Habitat Broward ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials, and more at a fraction of the original price. Volunteers work alongside staff to create a friendly environment for our customers.
Empowerment Coaches build a friendly rapport with their family and assists them with understanding and making sense of the information. The primary goal of these volunteers is to help families stay on track during their time in our program to ensure they achieve their goal of homeownership.
To volunteer, complete the Empowerment Coach Interest Form, and email it our Homeowner Services Team.
While Habitat is well-known for offering home building volunteer opportunities, our office volunteers play important roles as well.
We welcome Americorp members to participate in all of our volunteer areas. AmeriCorps members contribute a year of service and in return receive a modest living stipend, housing, health insurance, an education award, job training, and personal and professional growth opportunities.
