Land Donation

Donating land is a unique way to support Habitat Broward and provide families with the very foundation they need to build a brighter future.

Land is one of Broward’s scarcest resources and the most vital requirement if Habitat is to serve more families and build more homes. Land allows Habitat to mobilize the generosity of other donors of cash and in-kind services so together we can build homes, community, and hope.

Much of our donated land comes from partners, including:

Families who have owned their land for many years.
Faith-based organizations looking to put God’s love into action to further their mission.
Government entities furthering affordable housing and homeownership opportunities in their communities.

Donating your land can benefit your family, estate, or organization in various ways:

Receive a charitable donation tax benefit.
Leave a legacy that will forever link your name to your commitment to giving back to others.
Become part of the Habitat family, attending home dedications, family events, and celebrations.

In addition to donating land, we also work with our partners on joint-venture partnerships, co-developing homes and communities, partial land sales and donations, and outright vacant land sales. We will work with you to find a unique way of making the most of your land and developing it to build homes, community, and hope.
