Habitat for Humanity of Broward To Host 2nd Annual CEO Build
in Pompano Beach
WHAT: Habitat for Humanity of Broward will be hosting its 2nd annual CEO Build, led by co-chairs Brent Burns, President and CEO of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and Keith Koenig, CEO of City Furniture at “A Rick Case Habitat Community” in Pompano Beach.
Special precautions will be in place on the build site, as safety will remain the number one priority.
The pandemic has made us even more aware of the need for safe, quality housing, especially for low-income families. The demand for affordable housing has never been greater. Local CEOs will roll up their sleeves and work side by side to be part of the solution.
Before COVID-19, one in seven households spent more than half of their income on housing. Today, that number is estimated to be one in four. Habitat for Humanity of Broward offers working families a way to earn an affordable mortgage kept to 30 percent of household income through the sweat equity they invest. This is the only way these families can afford decent housing, and it changes their lives.
In addition to construction, the event will include an exclusive networking opportunity, continental breakfast, and lunch.
