Last month, Habitat Broward held its last of three women day builds to empower women to address the affordable housing crisis in our community. Collectively, over 330 women (and men!) worked side by side to build modest, energy-efficient homes in A Rick Case Habitat Community. The Community will be the first of its kind in Broward County and will have 77 homes in Pompano Beach. The first 12 homes are nearing completion, 10 of which are Women Build homes!

Women Build home sponsors include: Bank of America, City Furniture, Community Foundation of Broward, Josephine S. Leiser Foundation, Rick Case Automotive, Robert Elmore Estate, Robert Taylor, Jr., Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, TIAA Bank, Wadsworth Foundation, and WSVN.

The three events were fundraisers and friend-raisers and were co-chaired by Habitat board members, Nancy Daly and Raquel Case of Rick Case Automotive Group. A very special thanks to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, City Furniture, and Rick Case Automotive Group for graciously hosting the lunch, tent, and DJ for the events.
