Habitat for Humanity of Broward staged its inaugural golf tournament at The Country Club of Coral Springs last Saturday, raising more than $6,500 in the process.

Thirteen foursomes (54 players in total) enjoyed a round of golf, followed by a deli buffet and awards ceremony. The event was put on by the Habitat Young Professionals Group and sponsored by the MRW Consulting Group.

“We are lucky to have the Habitat Young Professionals Group and MRW Consulting Group,” said Perry Ecton, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Broward. “The fact that so many people – each busy with a career – spent their free time planning this tournament is truly motivating. The proceeds from this tournament will help us build a home for a deserving Broward County family.”

In addition to MRW Consulting Group, other tournament sponsors included JM Family Enterprises (hole-in-one car) and American Financial ($10,000 hole-in-one hole).
