On Saturdays, Kelly Kolb can be found in his hard hat on our build sites, making the dream of homeownership come true for Habitat families. Kelly joined the Habitat Broward Board of Directors in 2015 and currently serves as first Vice Chair. Kelly also chairs the Legal Committee and is a shareholder and attorney with the law firm Buchanan Ingersoll Rooney.
Kelly represents management and executives in discrimination and retaliation cases, EEOC investigations, non-compete litigation, USDOL wage and hour audits, FLSA overtime lawsuits, ADA accessibility lawsuits, whistle blower lawsuits, workplace investigations, and unemployment claims.
When asked, Kelly notes that his greatest professional accomplishment is having advised clients (early) on employment issues so that they have never faced a claim or lawsuit on those issues. He is also proud of the fact that his greatest personal accomplishment is that his wife, of 32 years, is still his best friend, and his three daughters still give him hugs when he gets home at night.
When Kelly is not at work, chasing the kids or trussing a Habitat House, you can find him kayak fishing off the beach or listening to live music with his wife at any one of South Florida’s many music venues.
