WHAT: “Habitat Love” is the theme for this week’s Habitat Broward Women Build at A Rick Case Habitat Community.

One hundred volunteers are expected to participate in “Habitat Love,” the Valentine’s Day themed celebration that will take place Saturday, February 9, 2019. Volunteers, alongside future homeowners, will be working on roofs of the first homes in “A Rick Case Habitat Community”.

There will be ten Women Build homes, sponsored by generous donors. This is the second of three Women Build Days.

Participants will receive the coveted Women Build hot pink tee-shirt. In addition, coffee and donuts will be served in the morning and lunch at noon.

The Mary N. Porter Legacy Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward has sponsored the foundations of the first 50 homes in this community, including the Women Build 2019 homes.

“A Rick Case Habitat Community” is the largest single-family affordable homeownership community undertaken by a nonprofit in Broward County to date.
