Habitat for Humanity of Broward has announced a new Board Chair and three new members for its Board of Directors.
Taking over as Board Chair is Bill Feinberg, President, CEO and Co-Founder of Allied Kitchen & Bath, while new Board members include Raquel Case of the Rick Case Automotive Group, Kelly Kolb of Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, and Susan Rindley of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
Feinberg has been involved with Habitat for many years and he’s looking to use that experience to help “Build a better Broward, one house at a time.”
“Becoming Board Chair is truly an honor for me,” said Feinberg. “As a company and individually, I have made a commitment to ‘Pay it Forward’ and give back as much as possible to our community. I think we all need to do more when it comes to local charitable organizations and we need more successful companies to get involved as well and give back to our community.
“Habitat is a grassroots organization and one of the few that gifts people with a hands-on experience. You’re not just writing a check – you’re out there putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and seeing first-hand the impact of your contribution. It’s a unique way to donate your support.”
Habitat for Humanity of Broward’s Executive Director Perry Ecton was pleased with the selection of Feinberg, Case, Kolb and Rindley.
“They are all quality individuals who have been connected to Habitat for quite some time,” said Ecton. “We’re thrilled they wanted to be a part of our Board and we look forward to hearing their collective ideas on how we can continue to help families in need.”
“We have a lot of great opportunities to build homes in Broward and if we play our cards right we can set the wheels in motion for our growth and, hopefully, secure enough land for us to build several hundred homes in the next five years,” added Feinberg.
The other Habitat for Humanity of Broward Board members are Ian Berger, Gary Bitner, Kathy Craven, Nancy Daly, Tim Dobbins, Kevin Fernander, Linda D. Jones (Secretary), Robert Leider, Cynthia Martin, Dr. Eloise McCoy-Cain, Burnadette Norris-Weeks, Stephen Palmer (Treasurer), Susan Renneisen, Kris Rich (Second Vice Chair), John Romandetti and Robert Taylor, Jr. (First Vice Chair).
