Nancy Daly can simply look around Habitat Broward ReStore and she will immediately produce a smile.
To be sure, the Habitat Board Member and ReStore Chair is fully aware that the merchandise surrounding her is courtesy of a large group of faithful, community-minded companies.
“We can offer amazing deals to our customers thanks to all of our sponsors,” said Daly. “One of the main reasons Habitat Broward ReStore has been so profitable is because our community has been so generous and supportive.”
Habitat Broward ReStore is now generating enough income to build a home a month for needy families. To that end, Daly can’t thank the ReStore’s sponsors enough.
Farrey’s Lighting is a regular contributor of high-end lighting, which also helps keep the store windows lit up at night.
“We get so excited when a Farrey’s driver calls,” said Jayna Butcher, ReStore Manager. “We are always at the ready outside with our forklift.”
K&K Transfer routinely sends the ReStore brand new decorative furniture which is sold at half price, while Home Depot regularly donates one or two pallets of brand new store items. Allied Kitchen & Bath donates “like new” cabinets and appliances when it is doing a remodeling job of kitchens or bathrooms, while Reliance Paints & Coatings donates – at least four times a month — Benjamin Moore mistints.
Advanced Air, Advanced Roofing and Sonitrol Security Systems have also been major contributors to the ReStore.
“All of these companies are such a joy to work with,” said Daly. “We’re honored to have them in the Habitat for Humanity of Broward family.”
