Habitat for Humanity of Broward is once again welcoming needy families to apply for new single-family homes under construction within the Rick Case Habitat Community in Pompano Beach. Those selected for the volunteer nonprofit organization’s latest project will gain residency into the 77-home complex through interest-free mortgage loans. The community will consist of 42 one-story and 35 two-story units with energy efficient and environmental impact amenities. A park, reading garden and children’s playground will also be featured.

“We strive to put hardworking families in safe, secure homes,” Nancy Robin, Habitat for Humanity of Broward CEO and executive director, said in a statement.

Interested families may visit habitatbroward.org/homeownership/applicationprocess/ to learn more about qualifications and completing the necessary paperwork. The process includes a pre-qualification questionnaire, orientation, financial analysis review and a face-to-face interview. An applicant must be a first-time homebuyer, a citizen or a legal permanent resident of the United States, a current Broward County resident (one year or more) and able to demonstrate a need for affordable housing.
